About the chapter

Since the beginning, our sisters have been devoted to high standards of personnel, academic excellence, lifelong friendships, career and personal development, service to others and both community and campus involvement. Chi Omega has grown to include over 380,000 women from 181 collegiate chapters worldwide since its beginnings at the University of Arkansas in 1895.

“I came to college wanting to find a community that always valued character and integrity over popularity. I wanted a place where I would grow by being encouraged and challenged. I knew I wanted genuine relationships that were rooted in kindness. What I did not realize was that I would find all of these things and more in the sisterhood of Chi Omega. The outcome of joining Chi Omega has proven to be the most impactful decision I have ever made. I am consistently met with the utmost love and support. I have found such incredible people, full of ambition and depth. Shared values and goals unify us, and we actively encourage one another to uphold the values we all treasure. I cannot express enough gratitude for the opportunities, friendships, and growth I have gained from this chapter; Chi Omega is the cornerstone of my incredible college experience at Iowa State.”
